ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Five members of the Nighthawks softball program have earned All-Conference accolades as members of the All-NECC Teams as announced by the New England Collegiate Conference Office on Monday morning.

Nighthawks sophomore Noelle Sass (Randolph, Mass.) makes her second career appearance on an all-conference team, improving on her Second-Team nomination in her freshman year to an All-Conference First Team Catcher in 2017. Sass finished the year second in conference batting average at .538 and led the NECC in home runs in conference play with eight.

Sass also recorded the most hits by a player in her first two seasons in program history and is just two career hits shy of 100.

Nighthawks freshman Arianna Gooden (Bakersfield, Calif.) impressed in her first season, earning an All-NECC First Team Accolade in the outfield. Gooden finished fourth in the NECC in hits with 29 in conference play and RBIs in NECC games with 22. She was seventh in batting average at .446, best among all rookies. In the Nighthawks 18, regular season, NECC games, Gooden recorded at least one hit in 15 of those contests.

Sophomore Alina Milauskas (Elkridge, Md.) found herself as a member of the All-Conference Second Team as a pitcher. Milauskas' eight regular season wins were third-most. Milauskas also recorded a pair of playoff victories that got the Nighthawks into Championship Sunday.

Her 29 career wins are just three shy of the career wins record at Newbury.

Senior Naomi Ricciotti (Pheonix, Ariz.) also secured a spot on the All-Conference Second Team; the second such election of her career. Ricciotti batted .361 in the conference this season and finished eighth in runs scored with 20.

Ricciotti finishes her career with the third-most hits in program history with 149 and she became only the third player in Nighthawks history to score 100 career runs.

Ricciotti was also recognized as the Nighthawks representative on the 2017 All-Conference Sportsmanship Team.

Freshman Mallory Stefan (Thornton, Colo.) rounds out the Nighthawks grouping, finishing All-Conference Third Team as a pitcher. Stefan finished the regular season at 8-1 with a 2.53 ERA in conference play.

Although her offensive numbers are not considered in this accolade, it is worth mentioning that Stefan contributed to her own cause on multiple occasions, finishing the season with a .440 batting average in conference play; eighth-best in the NECC.
