    Nighthawks freshman Rory Dobbins (Riverside, R.I.) finished with a career-high 10 kills while hitting .400 from the floor, helping the Nighthawks to their first New England Collegiate Conference win of 2018, a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-13) straight sets victory over the Southern Vermont Mountaineers on Saturday afternoon.

  • Nighthawks Drop Two on Tri-Match Saturday

    The Nighthawks fell twice on tri-match Saturday, hosted by Emerson College. In the Nighthawks opening match, John Jay College took down the Nighthawks 3-1 (22-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-22) and in Newbury's final match against Emerson, the Nighthawks were swept 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-17).

  • Men's Volleyball Splits Tri-Match at City College of New York

    The Nighthawks are coming home from New York with a split of tri-match Saturday games, earning their first win of the season over Sarah Lawrence in the second match of the afternoon. The Nighthawks fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-16) in their first match against host team City College of New York and followed that performance with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-8, 25-4) win over Sarah Lawrence for their first win of 2018.
  • Season Preview - Men's Volleyball Continues Building in 2018

    The Nighthawks look to build off their 2017 season when they finished 10-16 and 4-8 in the New England Collegiate Conference. The 10-wins were the most in a season for the Nighthawks since 2011 and their appearance in the NECC Semifinals was their first appearance in that round since 2015.
  • Nighthawks Drop Season Opener to Leopards, 3-0

    Leopards sophomore Ryan Love (Gaithersburg, Md.) finished with a match-high 10 kills, hitting .308 on the night, leading the Wentworth Institute of Technology to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-20) victory over the Newbury Nighthawks on Thursday evening in the season opener for Newbury.
  • Nighthawks Volleyball Selected 4th in NECC Preseason Poll

    The Newbury Nighthawks men's volleyball team landed fourth in the preseason poll as voted by the New England Collegiate Conference member institutions and as announced on Friday by the NECC Office. The Nighthawks are coming off a 10-16 season with an appearance in the NECC Semifinals. The 10-win season was the most wins in a season for the Nighthawks in six years.
