Nighthawks Seek Return to Winning Ways vs. Dean

Nighthawks, Bulldogs Face For Second Time in 2017

Prior to Spring Break was the last time the Nighthawks saw the win column in 2017 but a great chance arises on Saturday morning as they welcome the Dean College Bulldogs to Pappas Gymnasium for a non-conference match. The Nighthawks are 1-0 this season against the Bulldogs, earning a 3-0 win on Feb. 15 at Dean College. It was the first win of the season for the Nighthawks, who swept the match at 25-14, 25-13, 25-22.

Thorne Fills Stat Sheet in 3-0 Win at Dean

Nighthawks junior Joshua Thorne (Oxford, Conn.) had a successful evening in February during the first meeting between these two sides. Throne finished the match with nine kills, seven digs, and six aces. The six aces were a season-high for Thorne, the seven digs were the fourth most total Thorne has put forth this season.  He also finished the match with a team-high .217 hitting percentage.

Seck, Offensive Threat for Bulldogs This Season

Dean College senior Moussa Seck (Cambridge, Mass.) has been the Bulldogs biggest offensive threat this season and in the first meeting between these two teams. Seck has 95 total kills in 17 matches this season, totaling 1.73 kills per set this season. In the Feb. 15 match, Seck finished with five kills and two blocks.
