Chilly Start to NECC Schedule for Nighthawks and Mariners

The official start of spring may happen next week, but for these two sides, it's a meeting in the cold of winter to start the New England Collegiate Conference as the Mitchell Mariners travel north to face the Newbury Nighthawks at the New England Baseball Complex. Both teams have started strong this season, the Nighthawks are 8-5, the Mariners, 6-4. The third game of this series, set to have been played on Sunday, has been postponed due to the potential bad weather on Sunday.
