16 Nighthawks Named to All-Academic Team for Winter and Spring Seasons

The following story has been edited from a previous version. The original posting of this story did not include eight Newbury College student-athletes that were eligible for the All-Academic Team.

 

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference announced today that 16 Nighthawk student-athletes have been named to the 2016-17 All-Conference Academic Team for the student-athletes of the winter and spring seasons.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in class standing, must hold a GPA above 3.40, and must have competed in a winter sport in the 2016-17 season or a spring sport in 2017. 

Out of a record 210 overall student-athletes that competed in winter or spring sports, the following 16 Nighthawks have been given the honor:

Dan Horwitz, Major: Sport Management, Men's Basketball

Joshua Oliver, Major: Sport Management, Men's Basketball

Christina Babcock, Major: Business Management, Women's Basketball and Softball

Isabelle Pafford, Major: Marketing, Women's Basketball and Women's Lacrosse

Cesar Cruz, Major: Culinary Management, Men's Volleyball

Elliott Pollard, Major: Sport Management, Men's Volleyball

Joshua Thorne, Major: International Business, Men's Volleyball

Jacob Pringle, Major: Sport Management, Baseball

Brian Rhone, Major: Sport Management, Baseball

Jim McGrorry, Major: Media Production, Baseball

Billy Stephen, Major: Marketing, Baseball

Lindsey Clark, Major: Graphic Design, Softball

Elizabeth Kia, Major: Psychology, Softball

Alina Milauskas, Major: Public Relations & Advertising, Softball

Noelle Sass, Major: Sport Management, Softball

Alexis Vieira, Major: Legal Studies, Softball
